I traded in a Kubota LX3310 and I do believe the 3046R is a better tractor. However, it does have functions I don’t like. First, cleaning the dust out of the radiator after mowing is harder to do on the 3046R than the LX3310. Second, the backup safety feature really sucks. I know it should only work while using the belly mower but seems to want to engage while only using the rear PTO. Nothing worst than mowing and getting repositioned and the tractor turns off. The positives, more horsepower, better interior on the 3046R, and better functioning air conditioner.
Since it's only the beginning of summer I have not had the opportunity yet to utilize most of the equipment. The loader and backhoe that I have used has way more power than my 2038 that I traded. I expect no less with my other accessories.
I've had my tractor approximately 2 weeks and I love it. It seems to have a pretty easy learning curve considering in a novice operator.
I’m happy with almost everything. Love the LED lighting. However, the Bluetooth falls short the quality I expected. My callers can’t hear me over the noise of the tractor. The snowblower settles from fully raised to the ground within 3000 feet. That is not normal or acceptable to a 5 time, 3000 Series buyer. My mother lives 1 mile from me, she is in her 80’s and I do her driveway. None of my other tractors, 3320, 3720, 3039r, 3046r have ever done that. This 3046r settles extremely fast, I can watch it drop. I wish the washer fluid sprayed from the hood, like to 2025 I saw. The wiper equipped sprayer is inadequate in my opinion.
Have had a 2720 since 2008 and it turned out to be one of the best investments in light of productivity that ive ever made, I have just under 1000 hrs on it with 0 problems other than battery/hoses etc. I was looking for a little more lift capacity in working with my sawmill and adding the cab was an investment I hope my retirement years proves to be an enjoyment for working in the rain and cold. The transmission upgrade from my 2720 is the most notable feature difference and with 50hrs in the seat so far Im still adjusting to all the differences but am still happy with the purchase overall.

I have had my 3046R tractor for 4 years now. Has not dissappointed me. One heck of a tractor.
I purchased this tractor in December of 2022. At 17 hours the three point would not go down. Say at John Deere for 6 weeks. At 36 hours the pto was slipping. Another 9 weeks later I have it back with a major oil leak on it. I have 1/2 hour on a brand new tiller and less on the loader. This is the 5th John Deere subcompact tractor I have owned. I also currently have a 4066r. When the tractor is not in the shop, it is a very nice tractor. I am hoping someone from John Deere will reach out to me to discuss.
I was just curious why my 4300 with power reverser has mid PTO for my mid Mount mower which I love why aren't the new ones available with this
Just purchased one, and would love to purchase more attachments for all my John Deere equipment, but they don't seem to make is easy to find things on the website site. Even when I get an ad for 15% off for storage items and more. Again, not link to find and see items, other then trying to send me to a dealership.
